She was scared…

She didn’t know what to do in the middle of the night with these thoughts or with this rush to cry. But, life was busy and she needed to sleep and get some rest.

This is not the first night she felt this way.

Throughout the whole week, she was sleep-deprived; she pretended to be ok. But, it wasn’t that hard to understand that she wasn’t. When you look into her face the first thing to notice was the bags under her sleepy eyes.

She knew she can make it at least through the night, but her thoughts were keeping her from sleeping.

She thought about everything and about nothing. This nothing she was going through and this lack of meaning her life had. No, she wasn’t suicidal nor was she asking for the truth of anything.

She, the one that wanted to know everything and was willing to sacrifice anything for the search of the truth, now is indifferent.

Maybe the truth scared her or maybe she thought getting there would be the end of her path.

She knew it wasn’t the first time she goes through something similar. But, it still hurt her with almost the same intensity.

Her body was acting weird. Her heartbeats were so fast that she thought she was dying.

“Try to focus on something else. Just imagine being on another planet,” she whispered gently to herself.

Minutes later, it was hard for her to breathe.

She couldn’t understand, was this a panic attack, or was she really dying.

She looked at the clock and that made her feel even worse. Time was going by really fast and she had to wake up early. I mean if she makes it through the night.

Maybe she should have asked for help. But she couldn’t.

Tears fell down her cheeks.

She couldn’t hold them anymore neither had she.

Now that she was alone in her space, she finally allowed herself to express her feelings in the best way she could.

Her body calmed down, she could feel it.

Her mind slowly turned down and gave into her tired body. She slept...
